It's time for the Weekly Drip again and we have none other than Taylor Swift herself joining Ashley Tullis, Dripping Springs #1 realtor today! Ok, just kidding, it was Amber Pierce with COIT Cleaning and Restoration just rocking the red lip this week, but my gosh she could be a doppelgänger for Taylor Swift ANY DAY! As usual, Dripping Springs' favorite duo is here sharing all that's going in this week in our beloved little town. Keep on reading for the Weekly Drip recap or you can catch the video replay below. These ladies will be here live on Facebook every Wednesday at 2pm CST so be sure to tune in next week!

First of all, we learned that Amber is in fact, NOT, a Swifty. She's too busy slaying her Cleaning and Restoration business to keep up with Taylor Swift and who can blame her! She's also busy being involved in the Dripping Springs community and networking! Amber is a part of the Mamas, Margaritas and Meet Up group which spun off another group for local women in business called MPower. They that had their monthly get together last night at the new Rose Haven Bakery and Event Venue which is officially open and off and running. They have some fun events for Mother's Day going on this weekend. On Saturday they ware having an Artisan Market and on Sunday they will have Mercedes Morgan Photography doing mothers day portrait mini sessions. Amber let us know there are still some session spots available so be sure to sign up soon!

Speaking of the Rose Haven Bakery and Event Venue, they are a part of the Dripping with Taste Trail which is currently going on. Ashley and Amber discussed this several weeks ago when they had a guest, Pam Owen, on the show. The Dripping with Taste Trail is an app that you'll download and then you'll visit participating businesses around the Dripping Springs area to rack up points that will earn you REAL prizes! The trail kicked off on Founders Day weekend and will go until Song Writer's Festival. The points do fluctuate daily so you'll need to check the app to see where you can go for the most points each day.  Sounds like a 6 month long scavenger hunt involving food and beverage.... I'm down!

Ashley let us know that tomorrow is the Dripping Springs Women Entrepreneurs May lunch at Treaty Oak which is another great local networking group if you happen to be a woman and an entrepreneur.... or if you just like lunch. I'm sure they'd still love to meet you.

If you missed out on the Doom Metal Goat Yoga at Jester King Amber shared with us previously, no worries! It happens every Saturday and this Saturday is no different. Amber reminded us that if you don't use your bendy, you lose your bendy as you age so we probably all need to get out to Doom Metal Goat Yoga and work on our flexibility. Or if you're really looking to step up your fitness, Amber reminded us of the Dripping Springs skate park project which is set to break ground at the back of founders park on around 1.5 acres. Ashley confirmed for us she did not skate as a kid having grown up on a dirt road where skating wasn't really feasible and the extent of her skating came from going back and forth on her parents wood floor. Yikes!

No surprise here, but COIT Cleaning and Restoration is in the running for Best of Dripping Springs in 2 categories, Best Carpet Cleaner and Best Damage and Restoration Company. They've won for the past 3 years so we're pulling for another W this year as well. Ashley is also up for Best of Dripping Springs in the Best Real Estate Agent category. This is her first year for a nomination so she's super excited and humbled. Voting wraps up on the 12th so make sure you get your votes in, especially for these two amazing ladies! And a side shout out to the Weekly Drip's #1 viewer Martin Garza who is also nominated - give him your vote as well.

A few more things going on this weekend as we wrap up this episode. If you're not terrified of birds, this Saturday from 7:30am to Noon at Ranch Park is the Festival of Flight with the city and Wild Birds Unlimited. For those that are terrified of birds, just head on over to Mercer Dance Hall on Saturday instead to catch local legend, Jimmy Vaughn playing from 8pm to 11pm. Hate birds AND music, well hopefully you're a dog person then because there are 2 dog adoption events this weekend. One at Beerburg and one at Ghostnote both on Saturday, both a great excuse to get mom a dog for Mother's Day. If you attend one of these dog adoptions and accidentally come home with a dog, your mom can send complaints to us at complaints@weeklydrip.net. Speaking of mom, this Friday and Saturday, Suds Monkey is doing a DIY Succulent Bar for Mother's Day. It's $30 and includes everything you need. Succulents are a much more manageable gift for mom than a dog. And finally, Panda Express is officially open if you haven't noticed the giant inflatable panda while driving by. Ashley actually attended the grand opening today and got to rub elbows with the BILLIONAIRE owner of Panda Express. She also met the teenagers that slept outside overnight to be the first Panda Express customers. Their grand prize for their efforts??? A t-shirt, pins and a $30 gift card... oh to be young and bendy again!
