Summer break is upon us here in Dripping Springs! School is out and that leaves many opportunities for some special guests on the Weekly Drip. This week, our special guest is none other than Wyatt Tullis! He's got the scoop for you on a new place to check out that's kid approved, adult approved, and fully air conditioned to keep you out of the Texas heat. If you're new around here, Ashley Tullis, the #1 realtor in Dripping Springs, and Amber Pierce, owner of COIT Cleaning and Restoration, the #1 Cleaning and Restoration company in Dripping Springs, are here live on Facebook every Wednesday at 2pm, bringing you the scoop on what's going on around Dripping Springs. If you can't catch them live, you can always come here for the Weekly Drip recap or you can check out Ashley's YouTube page for a video replay.

Wyatt found a new hot spot that's perfect for kids AND parents! He's sharing with us today the Bishop's Cidercade Austin which is not in Dripping Springs, but is worth the 30-40 minute drive into Austin. Isn't that what makes Dripping Springs so great?!?! You've got all the perks of the small town feel, but it's so close to the "big city" that you can always justify a quick drive into Austin. It's the best of both worlds! Wyatt let us know that Cidercade is an arcade and cider bar combined. It's $10 per person for admission which includes unlimited play on all the arcade games. Mom and Dad will have to pay for their cider, but their kiddos will be happily occupied with all the games and won't be constantly running up asking for more money. Ashley confirmed at a regular arcade, $30 would be gone in a flash, but it only cost their family of 3 $30 to get into Cidercade and with unlimited games, they could play for hours and hours and hours. Wyatt did also note that at 8pm, the Cidercade is adult only so all the kids have to skedaddle. They serve food as well, pizza and wings, and for the kids the unlimited soda is only $4. Ashley let us know the Cidercade is right on Riverside Dr in what used to be the Joe's Crab Shack overlooking Lady Bird Lake. Sounds like the Cidercade is a must with the kids this summer!

Another local Wyatt-approved spot here in Dripping Springs is the Dripping Springs Country Club. This is our very own driving range here in Dripping Springs. Wyatt let us know you just purchase your bucket of balls, you can borrow some golf clubs if you need, and you get to hitting the balls and working on your swing. They're serving up food and drinks as well so this would be a perfect spot to add to your list of summer activities here in Dripping Springs.

Amber recently received an email from Thyme and Dough that they're bringing back their Bistro Night. Of course, Thyme and Dough is a local favorite serving up breakfast and lunch, but their Bistro Night is where they offer dinner for dine-in or take out and my goodness the menu looks delish! Their first Bistro Night of the season is this Thursday 6/1 from 6pm-9pm and is featuring some amazing dishes like peach burrata, mini shrimp tacos, braised short-ribs, braised salmon with fresh peach chutney, peach cobbler... 'tis the season for peaches! They do recommend emailing your pre-order for both dine-in and takeout to ensure they have enough to make what you're wanting so you can send them an email at contact@thymeanddough.com. Amber shared the menu she was emailed so we'll share that at the bottom of this post, but you can also click here to be added to their email list for Bistro Night.

Ashley reminded everyone that the blog is the perfect place to find what's going on around town every weekend. This show is the Weekly Drip, but we also share the Weekend Drip every Friday with all the fun stuff going on around Dripping Springs for the weekend. You can find that info here on the blog as well as on all of Ashley's social media. For a little sneak peek of the Weekend Drip, this Saturday 6/3 there are a couple of markets going on around town. There's the Vintage Market Days at Vista Brewing 12pm-5pm as well as the Deaf Artisan Market from 12pm-4pm at Jester King

The time has FINALLY come! The long awaited HTeaO has finally opened here in Dripping Springs! Ashley and Amber have been talking about this place and looking forward to the day they finally opened. Ashley attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for HTeaO this morning and was able to snag herself a large coconut tea, half sweet and half unsweet. Ashley and Amber both reminisced about their younger days of drinking the sweetest sweet tea they could find and how now that they're elders, they can't handle all the sugar anymore. Funny how your palete develops as you get older.

Ashley's been enjoying the Dripping with Taste Trail. The ladies talked about this many times, but of course it's the app you can download on your phone and rack up points at all the local Dripping Springs distilleries, wineries, breweries, and restaurants and then win actual prizes when the trail ends in October. Ashley's been spending a fair amount of time at the newest Dripping Springs hot spot, FairLane, which is right outside her neighborhood on Ranch Road 12. She noted they added their playscape out there this week and it's been a hit with the kids.

Amber shared that starting Thursday, there will be Lemonade stands popping up around town raising funds for Foster Village. Keep an eye out for these and grab yourself a cold lemonade while supporting one of our local charities! Ashley also let us know there is a new book store coming to Dripping Springs, but we don't have any other info on when it will open so stay tuned for more info about that!
