The Weekly Drip - Season 4 Episode 19

Welcome to the Weekly Drip recap where we're going over all the topics Ashley and Amber covered on their weekly Facebook Live. There are so many fun things happening in Dripping Springs as of late and Ashley and Amber are sharing the scoop on it ALL! Ashley is joining us from a basement in New York this week. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures to get out of the Texas heat. Amber is still melting away in Dripping Springs, Texas though and sharing her excitement for the new Nutty Brown HEB that will soon be opening. She suggests it will be a great place to escape the heat and enjoy the air conditioning. Ashley heard some rumors that when a new HEB opens, they have some killer specials. Ashley's hoping for an amazing cheese section with great opening specials and Amber heard the plant section is also supposed to be something special at the new HEB. The grand opening is scheduled for July 5th so we soon shall find out what specials are to be had!

As the ladies mentioned last week, the new Sunday Bookshop is opening the 22nd! It's right on Ranch Road 12 where Fresh Native used to be, close to Well Yeah Cakes. The book loving Weekly Drip ladies are super excited for that to open! Another newly opened business everyone is talking about is FairLane Coffee and Cocktails (also on Ranch Road 12). Ashley let us know at FairLane they live by "airport rules" which means you can get a cocktail at any time of day and there is no judgement! Who doesn't love that?!? Ashley shared her favorite thing to get at FairLane right now is their iced chai tea latte. She discovered the owner actually makes it herself and Ashley says it's the best she's ever had!

Amber heard Lucky Arrow Retreat is having their first annual Family Circus on July 1st from 12pm-5pm. She shared they'll have circus performances, carnival games, face painting, food and booze and more! The event is for all ages and they really do have something for everyone.

Ashley shared that Camp Lucy is having a BBQ and Bourbon event tomorrow the 22nd at 6pm. She rattled off a list with tons of local sponsors for the event. Of course they'll have cocktails and bites all supporting the non-profit called Good Bourbon for a Good Cause. And if you indulge in a little too much bourbon... it's for a good cause after all.... Ashley let us know they do have special room rates at Camp Lucy so you can stay the night. 

Amber shared another event happening tomorrow the 22nd from 5:30-8:30 that she's super pumped about. Amber's best friend growing up has a younger brother, Adam Knight, who is performing at Homespun Kitchen and Bar tomorrow evening. Amber says he has an incredible soulful voice so she will definitely be in attendance. Ashley asked Amber if she's ever had a bloody mary from Homespun. Amber said she has seen impressive pictures, but hasn't ever tried one. Ashley says she's never met anyone that's had one either, but said they look like a delicious meal in addition to a drink. Sounds delicious! Brunch anyone???

Ashley and Amber got to hang out last night at their monthly MPOWER meeting at Rose Haven Bakery and Event Venue. This is a group of local female entrepreneurs that get together and support one another in their professional and personal lives. Amber's got a great way you can cool off this Sunday from 12pm-6pm. She shared the YMCA is having their Community Day. If you're not a member of the YMCA, during Community Day you can tour the facilities and use the pool as a non-member. It's a great way to figure out that you probably need a pool in your life to stay cool in this Texas heat.
