The Weekly Drip - Season 4 Episode 28

Another week, another episode of The Weekly Drip! Ashley and Amber are sharing all things Dripping Springs and they've got some fun upcoming events to go ahead and get on your calendar because you sure don't want to miss them! Not to brag, but Dripping Springs got rain this week! Ashley and Amber are appreciating the slightly cooler temperatures and by slightly cooler, we just mean not over 100°. Ashley is questioning whether or not she needs to break out the pumpkin spice and apple cider. That time is definitely approaching, but slow your roll Ashley!

Amber shared that this weekend at 12 Fox Brewing, they're doing a Maui Fundraiser. They've had shirts and hats created and they'll be for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to Maui relief. They'll have live music from Meagan Tubb on Friday, more live music on Saturday and bingo at 4pm on Sunday. As always, Gummies BBQ will be out there serving up delicious food. They've also added mister fans to help with heat so fear not! 

Another fun event happening soon in Dripping Springs is Goat Couture, a Goat Fashion show happening at Dripping Springs Ranch Park on September 9th from 10am to 3:30pm. This goat fashion show is a fundraiser for both Blanco County and Hays County FFA programs, so not only are you getting to see goats in fashionable attire, but you're also supporting a great program. Amber is envisioning the goats in fancy Kentucky Derby style hats while Ashley is thinking more bell bottoms with belts around their tummy. Who knows, they're probably both right!

Amber mentioned that Patriots Hall is having their Meet & Compete Sporting Clay Tournament on September 30th at the Hog Heaven Sporting Club. This event is free for veterans and they are currently looking for more sponsors. 

Another upcoming event Amber shared with us is Rockin' in the Springs put on by the Springs Family YMCA. It will be Thur 9/21 from 6pm to 8:30pm at Ghostnote Brewing. They'll have live music and tickets will include a taco bar as well as a drink ticket. Tickets for this event are $35 for adults and $15 for kids 3 and up. Ashley reminded us that the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival kicks off in September. It will be every weekend beginning September 23rd and going through October 29th from 10am to 7pm at Founders Park.  The Dripping springs Pumpkin Festival is giving away free tickets so you can head over to their Facebook page and tag some friends to enter to win. Don't fret if you don't win though! You can always purchase a ticket for $15.  

If you're willing to venture out of our Dripping Springs bubble this weekend and you've got a hankering for a good murder mystery dinner, Ashley shared a fun one with us! It's called Aloha-macide Murder Mystery Dinner at the Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater. This is located at the Texas Ski Ranch off I-35 in New Braunfels. For $60 you'll get a 3 course meal as well as tiki drinks and tequilla!  

It's Friday Night Lights season here in Dripping Springs. Ashley let us know that the first football game for DSHS is this Friday at 7pm against Vandegrift. She also reminded us that they have a clear bag policy at the stadium now so no sneaking in concessions. Make sure you purchase tickets early cause this is high school football and we're in Texas! 

Ashley and Amber wanted to give a big thank you to Vista Brewing for allowing them to hold the Weekly Drip Book Club meet up Thursday. They were happy to announce they had 24 women and 2 men in attendance. Their book club just keeps growing and they're enjoying sharing their love of reading with other local Dripping Springs book lovers. Ashley shared another little tid bit about Vista Brewing that they're expanding to San Antonio this fall with a tasting room location. More to come on that!
