Another episode of the Weekly Drip is in the books! Ashley and Amber were at it again yesterday discussing all things Dripping Springs, including the weather. Are you even in a small town if you're not sitting around talking about the weather??? Luckily for us, Dripping Springs has way more to discuss than local meteorological conditions and Ashley and Amber sure hit all the high points! If you didn't get a chance to catch them live yesterday, check out the video below or keep reading on for a quick recap. And of course, mark your calendar to join them live every Wednesday at 2pm CST.

Season 4, Episode 3 of The Weekly Drip:

As promised, Ashley and Amber chat weather! Amber is appreciating the warm and breezy weather; a prelude to our typical sweltering summer time heat. On the other hand, Ashley isn't a fan of what the weather is doing frizz-wise to her hair. If you're having the same frizz issues, Amber has a solid solution for you - Just give up and plop it up into a cute up-do! Problem solved!

Amber shared a few weeks ago about Dripping's juiciest new hot spot, Alchemy Juice. She was able to attend a soft opening earlier this week and received word yesterday that they're officially open! She raved about their "magic donuts" that are most certainly healthy donuts (gluten-free even!), but taste like a total cheat! I mean the words healthy and donut sound like an oxymoron, but I'm here for it! She also grabbed several of their fresh cold-pressed organic juices in glass jars to bring home sharing she had just finished off their Immune Boost Juice with beets, beet greens, celery, ginger, carrot, turmeric, lemon, green apple and garlic. I feel healthier just reading those ingredients! You can check out Alchemy Juice at 400 W. Hwy. 290, Ste C101, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.

Amber was also able to recently check out Summer Revival Wine for dinner on a hectic school night. She enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich which is made with bread from Abby Jane Bakeshop, another local Dripping Springs favorite! The food was so good, Amber's husband was a little peeved she had kept Summer Revival a secret. So don't let your significant others down! Take them to Summer Revival Wine stat!

Well, crawfish season is officially upon us! Have you had your fix yet? Ashley jumped on the opportunity to get her hands on some crawfish over at 12 Fox Beer Co. last weekend. They'll be serving up crawfish every weekend (while in season of course) beginning at noon until sold out. Any time someone says "until sold out" they might as well say, "you better get there early if you know what's good for you!" If you're also wanting a delicious wine-based hurricane to wash down those spicy crawfish, 12 Fox has you covered serving up what Ashley likes to call "Wine-o-canes." These wine-based cocktails are from a local business right here in Dripping Springs, Specialty Blends. They have pretty much every spirit you can think of in a wine-based form. Ashley was bummed to find they were sold out of the "Wine-o-canes" by the time she got there this weekend so again, if you know what's good for you, get there early!

Speaking of March, if you're a true Texan, then you know March 2nd is Texas Independence Day! Ashley is a 6th generation Texan and jokes that she recites the Texas Pledge of Allegiance first thing in the morning on Texas Independence Day. Are you a Texan? Do you know the Texas Pledge of Allegiance??? Better google that one! If you don't know it, then you can do what Ashley does to celebrate and find yourself a real chicken fried steak. Yum! You can make one at home too, but if you do, be sure to stick to gravy as your main condiment. Amber recently made chicken fried steak at home and put buffalo sauce on it.... mistakes were made. We gotta find that girl a gluten free, dairy free gravy recipe soon!

If you're not a fan of celebrating Texas Independence Day on a school night, we got you covered! Dripping Springs Distilling is hosting their own Texas Independence Day celebration this Saturday March 4th from 11am-8pm. They'll have live music from 1pm-4pm, Texas themed cocktails, food specials, yard games, casino games and a cowboy camp. You can check out their facebook event page for all the info: https://www.facebook.com/events/1283760905516510/

Another fun event going on this week at Dripping Springs Distilling is the Star Awards on Thursday March 2nd at 6pm. Ashley has held the title of "Business Person of the Year" since 2020 and they'll be naming a new winner for that award this year. We can't wait to see who will follow in her footsteps!

Ashley shared the scoop on some other good times happening around town this weekend. There will be dueling pianos this Friday 3/3 at 8:30pm at Hudson's on Mercer. Free dance lessons at Mercer Street Dance Hall every Friday 7:30-8:30pm. How about some Drag Queen Bingo at Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room this Friday 3/3? Again.... Dripping is quickly on its way to being the bingo capital of Texas!

Are you a lover of charcuterie? Deep Eddy Vodka Tasking Room is hosting a charcuterie class on Thursday March 9th and even more exciting news is that Ashley has a discount code! If you're wanting to learn the tricks of the charcuterie trade and also hang out with Ashley, hit her up for the code! You can call her, text her, email her, send smoke signals. There's a little "Let's Talk" button at the top of this page too, that's probably easier than smoke signals, but you do you!

While Dripping Springs is working on its bingo capital of Texas status, we already know it's the wedding capital of Texas. But if you're needing a space to host a non-wedding event, great news! Christy Seguin, who owns Cakes Rock, has taken over the Last Chance Dance Hall. She has been revamping the space to be both a bakery and an event venue! She'll be able to host events of all sizes. We're so excited to see the final product! Check out her instagram to follow along with the progress of the transformation (and to drool over her amazing cake creations). @cakesrocktx

To wrap it up, Ashley and Amber discussed some favorite farmer's market finds. Amber is a sucker for salsa, specifically mango habanero salsa. She also loves spicy red pepper hummus and Hamilton Pool Farms spot wine. I'll take all of the above please! But the one thing you'll always find at the Dripping Springs Farmer's Market that money cannot buy, is the peace of mind of letting your kid run amuck and knowing they're in a safe environment because while our little town is for sure growing and growing fast, it still has that small town safe feeling where everyone is looking out for everyone else.
