The Weekly Drip is in the Big Easy this week (well half of the Weekly Drip)! Ashley was still hanging out in good old Dripping Springs while Amber was on a work trip in New Orleans doing some work and doing a some exploring. A little work travel won't stop these ladies from sharing all they can about what's going on around our town. You can check out the scoop they shared by either clicking on the video replay below or reading on for the recap. Make sure you catch them live every Wednesday at 2pm CST!

Season 4, Episode 4 of The Weekly Drip:

As mentioned, Amber joined us from her hotel room in New Orleans this week. She was there for a convention gaining all the knowledge on how to be a better business owner and better cleaner. She's been able to explore all the fun things New Orleans has to offer every evening. She discovered she much prefers the laid back atmosphere on Frenchman Street versus the crazy antics found on the famed Bourbon Street. Ashley compared this to the East Side of Austin versus Dirty 6th Street. I guess the analogy would go, Frenchman Street is to East Austin as Bourbon Street is to Dirty 6th Street. Is that right???

Next week is Spring Break for DSISD, but Ashley and Amber both agree it's not really a break when you're a busy business owner and mom. You'll be sure to catch them around Drip next week NOT taking a break and doing what they do best... Real Estate and Cleaning/Restoration that is! And of course, the arrival of spring brings all the bluebonnets here in our great state of Texas. Dripping Spring has no shortage of bluebonnets as does pretty much all of the Texas Hill Country right about now. Ashley mentions a hot spot West of Dripping Springs for a beautiful scenic bluebonnet filled drive called Willow City Loop. Check out the map below if you want to see it for yourself!

Ashley has been wondering what was going on with what used to be Road Runner's here in town and Amber came in clutch with the scoop! What we do know is it will be a new Mexican restaurant called Paloma. What we don't yet know is if they will be serving Palomas. Our research and development team will get on this ASAP! Also, if you're looking to have a non-break Spring Break like Ashley and Amber, Paloma hiring right now too! The sooner this new restaurant is staffed, the sooner we can get to work researching!

If you're less in the mood for Palomas (what's wrong with you?) and you're feeling more like Indian food, Dripping Springs has a fix for you! Our very own local Natkhat Flavors has been serving up delicious Indian food for a while now through the drive through at Get Along Grill. Well, starting just this week, they have taken over that space completely and will be serving full time with dine in and drive through options!

Are you hungry yet? Pad Thai. Green Curry. Red Curry. ALL THE CURRY! Amber let us know that the lady serving up delicious Thai food at the weekly Wednesday farmers market here in Dripping Springs is back! We're not sure where she went, but we do know where to find her now. If you want to stay up to date with all the latest Farmers Market news, you can sign up for their weekly newsletter here.

Amber tried to change the subject to something other than food like the Vista Brewing Driftwood Nights Songwriters Series happening this Friday, March 10th. Amazing musicians and songwriters and beer.... yada, yada, yada... chicken nuggets! It sounds like Vista Brewing is also frying up some delicious chicken nuggets these days. Ashley says they are Japanese karaage style chicken nuggets fried in a potato starch. Meat and potatoes... a match made in Vista Brewing heaven!

That break from talking about food didn't last long. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? The answer here is chicken. We first discussed chicken nuggets and THEN we discussed deviled eggs. Ashley was privy to some knowledge that Amber was a big fan of deviled eggs. We won't put her secret recipe here in writing, but you can click on the YouTube video above to hear how she makes hers. One of the Weekly Drip listeners chimed in about eggs as well letting us know the Texas Olive Oil Company is rumored to have a delicious egg salad sandwich. Did you even know they have a Bistro out there? Ashley and Amber are planning a lunch date to see for themselves! Let's join them!

Speaking of dates, Ashley shared the scoop on a little date night secret here in Dripping Springs. The YMCA in Dripping Springs does a Parent's Night Out every 2nd Saturday of the month! You can drop off your kids, age 5-12, from 5:30p-9:30p (yes that's 4 hours of freedom!). The YMCA will keep them entertained with obstacle courses, games, pizza and a movie, while you enjoy a little adult time with whomever you please! At just $30 for YMCA members or $50 for non-members, this is a STEAL! Ashley and Amber reminisced about their teenage years babysitting and how little they were paid, while babysitters these days are raking in upwards of $20 per hour. With the way egg salad prices are rising around here, sounds like the YMCA Parent's Night Out is a great way to save some money. Listen in next Wednesday at 2pm CST and I bet Ashley and Amber are sure to inspire your next date night in Dripping Springs!
