Another Wednesday, another Weekly Drip! Ashley and Amber were at it again talking all about Dripping Springs. Ashley shared she was joining us from the Keller Williams "Mothership" AKA: the Keller Williams Southwest Market Center Office in Austin where Keller Williams was founded. She ventured out of Dripping Springs to attend the Keller Williams Awards, but of course that couldn't stop her from joining Amber and sharing their love for Dripping Springs as they do every Wednesday at 2pm CST. So join these lovely Weekly Drip hosts, Ashley Tullis of Atomic Properties Group and Amber Pierce of COIT Cleaning and Restoration and catch up on all they have to share about Dripping Springs.

First up on the Dripping Springs discussion today is PROMtacular! This is an event happening May 6th from 6-9pm and will be the first event ever hosted at the new Rose Haven Bakery and Event Venue owned by Christy Seguin of Cakes ROCK. Check out the flyer below for all the event info. Amber let us know they are in need of donations of all kinds for this event. You can learn more about Bailey Kay Hutson, the founder of this event by watching this video here

Ashley got her first sunburn of the year last weekend while enjoying the Brewer's Fest here in Dripping Springs. She didn't really partake in the beer drinking as gluten is not a good friend to her, but what she did indulge in is the Oreo ice cream from Dripping Springs' own Flight Ice Creams. Dairy > Gluten! This got Ashley and Amber diving deep into discussion about their favorite cookie ever. Ashley's vote is for a good old fashion peanut butter cookie as it's a simple few ingredient classic. Ashley did have a client stop by this week and brought her a chocolate chip/toffee cookie from the Great British Baking Company which she said would come in a close 2nd to the peanut butter cookie. Amber also steers away from the gluten AND dairy so this was a hard one for her, but she noted if all diet sensitivities were not taken into consideration, her favorite cookie would have to be the Thin Mint. Solid choice Amber!!!

Oops, Ashley and Amber got distracted talking about food again. Well back to Brewer's Fest last weekend, while Ashley was there, she was chatting with the owner of Vista Brewing who just so happens to make the best chicken nuggets in town.... oops, we're not talking about food right now. Well they were discussing the Driftwood Heritage Festival happening this Sunday from noon to 6pm out at Vista Brewing. There will be vendors, music and much more! So what is the Driftwood Heritage Festival all about anyway??? In chatting with the owner of Vista Brewing, Ashley found out this festival is all about sharing the history and preservation of Driftwood as the development in that area is EXTREMELY important to the people that live there. Ashley and her realtor brain concluded that you will probably never see cookie-cutter homes in the Driftwood area. Well she used the phrase ticky-tacky homes, but since we're all about the food around here, cookie-cutter seemed more fitting.

If you've got a hankering for brunch, you're in luck! This weekend is the Dripping Springs Race to Brunch 5K at Caliterra. It will be on Saturday 4/1 from 8-12pm. So you just run and/or walk your 5K and then you brunch! Sign me up for a guilt free brunch like that! Ashley feels like you can really get away with walking a 5K when you enter the booze related 5Ks like those hosted by Shiner Beer or the wine 5Ks you find in Fredericksburg. You've probably really gotta run to feel like you burned off enough to divulge in a full brunch, but I'd say it's worth it! Amber said her last 5K was of the foam fest variety. Ashley was thinking she was confusing college foam parties with a 5K, but no, it was a 5K with foam bubbles everywhere. I hope they also had food and beverage at the finish line for you Amber! No food, just bubbles? No thank you!

To wrap up the show, Ashley rattled off a slew of other events happing around Dripping Springs. As mentioned last week Might Fine's grand opening is Saturday April 1st from 11am-6pm and the first 50 customers get the mystery gift cards valued up to $500. You can always find live music as basically every brewery under the sun around this town and there is no shortage of breweries around here. There's trivia at Acopon Brewing on Thursdays, Music Bingo at Suds Monkey on Saturday. Suds Monkey is also doing another crawfish boil this weekend. If you're wanting crawfish and you're not on the Suds Monkey side of town, check out the West Henly Boil Shack west of town. Ashley's been there to get her crawfish fix for the last 2 weekends and has been really enjoying their spicy butter coating they're slathering on their crawfish. That's a buttery wrap for this week's episode of the Weekly Drip and all things food discussion!
