Episode 8 marks 2 months into Season 4 of the Weekly Drip with Ashley and Amber sharing all things Dripping Springs. What were the ladies chatting about this week? Well, per usual, there was mention of our crazy spring-time weather and all the Easter festivities coming up this weekend in Dripping Springs along with LOTS of farm animals! If you're spending your Easter in Dripping Springs this weekend, you don't want to miss this week's episode. Continue reading on for the Weekly Drip recap or you can watch these lovely ladies in the replay video below. As always, you can catch the Weekly Drip live on Facebook every Wednesday at 2pm CST featuring the #1 realtor in Dripping Springs, Ashley Tullis and the 1# cleaning and restoration guru, Amber Pierce of COIT Cleaning & Restoration.

Ashley and Amber thought we were smooth sailing into summertime warm weather, but Texas has different plans throwing a cool front our way for the Easter weekend. Ashley recalls a time several years ago where it actually snowed on Easter. I don't think it's going to get THAT cold, but you'll definitely need a jacket going into the weekend.

Speaking of the weekend, Amber shares their plans for the Easter weekend are low-key, just going to church. She is putting together her kid's Easter baskets and shared an amazing find, reusable water balloons. Ashley shared about a time she let her son and his friends have a water balloon fight in her driveway and she's still finding bits of balloon. I think we've ALL been there! These reusable water balloons sound awesome! Amber mentioned they are made of silicon and are like a clam shell. You just drop them in a bucket of water, they fill up and clamp closed. Then when you throw them, they bust open and water goes everywhere. After that, you just put them back in the bucket and let them fill up again. GENIUS!  The things they come up with these days! We also learned Amber is not 100% sure where she hid the kids Easter baskets at in her house so hopefully she finds them before Sunday.

Ashley shared some fun finds she grabbed at the 12 Fox Beer Co Young Entrepreneurs Festival a few weeks ago. She said the festival was FANTASTIC! She found a vendor called Button Mashers and picked up a few adorable buttons as well as one of those clean/dirty magnets for the dishwasher.  She also found a young entrepreneur selling freeze dried skittles. Ashley said they were delicious and she hoarded them from her family. I would love to taste the freeze dried rainbow! Guess we'll have to wait till the next event. Ashley believes this event happens twice a year and it's for the homeschool community so keep an eye out for the next one!

On the Easter front, there are so many events happening around Dripping Springs this weekend to celebrate. Amber shared that the Dripping Springs Presbyterian church will have an easter egg hunt and petting zoo with bunnies, chicks and a baby pig after the 10:30am worship service. Move over Easter Bunny! Amber is way more excited about the baby pig! We found out that Ashley actually used to raise pigs as a part of 4H. She said she started with raising chickens then upgraded to hogs. She also noted that she still likes to eat bacon. And with that, we made it a whopping 8 minutes and 7 seconds into the episode before we discussed food.... quite possibly a Weekly Drip record! While we're discussing food, what Alchemy Organics juice flavor is Amber enjoying today??? She's sipping on their Spicy Greens flavor which is a combination of kale, cucumber, pear and jalapeno. Amber says if you like spicy, it's not too spicy. Sounds delish!

If you're looking to have a good Friday, you're in luck because coming up on the actual Good Friday Suds Monkey Brewing is having their Easter Egg Hunt event. It's best to go to their website here to make an egg hunting reservation between 3pm and 4:30pm, but there will also be a non-reservation egg hunting time slot at 5pm if you forget to make the reservation. But wait, there's more! They'll also have Goat Shenanigans featuring baby goat cuddles from 2:30pm-4pm, ATX Provisions will have desserts from 3pm-6pm, and the Creekrow Farm petting zoo will be from 4pm-6pm. Ashley also shared an expert parenting tip. If your youngster is having trouble cleaning their room, Ashley suggests taking them to an egg hunt and reviewing their performance. You just might be surprised at how capable they are of picking up things and putting them away. Funny how egg hunting translates into picking up ones room. Solid tip Ashley!

For more egg hunting opportunities, you can check out the Ranch Park EGGstravaganza and Family Hayride this Saturday from 2pm-6pm. If you're a grown up, but you're missing your egg hunting glory days, 12 Fox Beer Co is having an adult egg hunt a noon on Saturday. I wonder what they're stuffing in their eggs for the adults??? They will also have a kids egg hunt from 1pm-3pm and 'tis the season for crawfish so you can also get your mudbug fix at 12 Fox that day as well. Fitzhugh Brewing is having their Easter Family Market at 11am Saturday followed by an egg hunt at noon. And finally, if you missed out on the Goat Shenanigans baby goat cuddles at Suds Monkey on Friday, fear not! You can catch Goat Shenanigans baby goat cuddles on Sunday at Vista Brewing as well from 11am-12:30pm. All the farm animals this weekend! I hope nobody gets pooped on!

With farm animals on the brain, Amber is thinking she needs to add a goat to her current animal collection. She currently has chickens, dogs, cats and fish. A goat sounds like that would round out your collection quite nicely Amber! Anyone selling a goat? Amber shared about a client she had with adorable baby goats recently that allowed her to enjoy her lunch with the baby goats. Ashley also had a client/livestock story to share about some clients that recently acquired rescue miniature donkeys named after Shrek characters. How fitting!

Well, back to the crazy Texas weather, we determined everyone is ready for summer. Amber found out at the Dripping Springs sports and recreation park, they are starting pickup volleyball on Fridays from 6:30pm to sundown. That sounds like a perfect way to spend a warm summer evening! Ashley and Amber reminisced about their athletic abilities in their youth. Ashley said she dabbled in softball when she was very young and then ran cross country as she got older. Amber played volleyball in middle school and basket ball in high school and recalls she was pretty decent at those, but is a true band nerd at heart. She played percussion and oboe in school, but also dabbled in piano and guitar as well.

One last event to mention that's coming up this month is the Mother/Son dance. It seems the Daddy/Daughter dances always get all the attention, but now us moms get our chance to shine! The dance will be on Saturday 4/22 from 7pm-9pm at the Dripping Springs High School cafeteria and the theme this year is "Out of this world." You can find all the info and buy your ticket on the DSISD website here. It's for ages 4-12 and Amber's son Phillip who just turned 8 is the perfect age so you may even see our beautiful co-host there!
